Canada Quad Parade
Children of all ages, from newborn to 99 are invited to participate in the Canada Quad Parade. Dress up in your Red and White and decorate your ATVs to show your pride in our Country. Participation is free for everyone, but the competition for the best float is fierce (even though it is all just for fun). If you don't want to be in the parade, be sure to come out and cheer it on as it passes by your lot.
Canada Fireworks
Main Swimming BeachWith the constantly fluctuating winds, the Canada Fireworks show was postponed this year. However, the supplies have already been purchased and we will try again to have the show on the Saturday of the August long weekend (weather permitting). Come out and enjoy the show at dusk. You may want to bring a lawn chair because ATVs will not be permitted in the area. Volunteers are needed to help that night, as well as to clean up the wrappings the next day. Family Day Weekend Ice Fishing Derby
Main Swimming BeachHey everyone, it looks like there is a bit of interest in doing a little ice fishing derby this Sunday at the lake. It will be a shotgun start with pre-drilled holes because of Walleye restrictions. Eliminating the need for you to bring your fish in at the end of the day. Fish can be weighed and measured when caught and then released (if you choose to do so ). FLRCA Annual Meeting
Everyone is welcome to attend the 2016 Fawcett Lake Resort Campers Association (FLRCA) Annual Meeting to be held in the parking lot by the Store Community Building at 1.00 on Sunday May 22. Bring your lawn chair and be ready to share your opinions, and volunteer your time to help make the new season our best one yet. There are several announcements to be made and issues to discuss. Craft Sale
Store Community BuildingReady to light up your lake lot? Ready to roll the dice? Come check out the first Fawcett Lake Resort Craft Sale. Support your local crafters by shopping right on the Resort. The event will be held outside the store to make room for everything, but will be moved indoors if the weather doesn't cooperate. There is plenty of room for additional tables too. Canada Celebrations
Throughout the Resort Wear your Red & White to celebrate to birth of our great country. This is our national day to spend time with our family and friends at the barbeque and at the campfire. Celebrations have also included a quad parade, kid's activities, and fireworks but the possibilities are only limited by your imagination. These events are all organized and run by volunteers, so please consider being in charge of one and making sure the day is celebrated in style. Summer Scavenger Hunt
Throughout the ResortThe Resort Store is sponsoring a Summer Scavenger Hunt. This event is open to everyone and it has a long list of challenges to do this summer. For children under 14 years of age, each completed challenge will be rewarded with a candy from the store. This isn’t your typical kid’s game as some of these challenges take a little more effort and kids may even need an adult to help with some of the harder ones. Canada Fireworks
Main Swimming BeachThe fireworks show is set to happen Friday night of the July long weekend. Bring a lawn chair as ATVs will not be allowed in the area. This event is run by volunteers and paid for by your donations, so be sure to put something in the coffee pot to help out. You are welcome to light your own fireworks from the beach, right around dusk. The main show will start as soon as it is dark enough.
Canada Quad Parade
Continuing a long standing tradition at the lake, there will be a Canada Quad Parade that travels throughout the Resort. Anyone interested in joining the parade is encouraged to dress up both your selves and your quads in our national red and white colors and meet at the north end of Narrows Way (top of the hill) for a 1.00pm start. There is no charge to join this event. If you will not be in the parade this year, be sure to put out your lawn chair in front of your lot and cheer on the participants.
