This year's celebratory parade and fireworks will be held on Saturday, June 28th, with more details to come. The theme of the parade will be 'Cartoon Characters'. As always, fireworks will be in the evening with community beach clean-up the following morning (Sunday the 29th). If you and your family plan on enjoying the fireworks, please consider helping to clean our beach as they create quite a mess!

Vanderwell Contractors will be doing some logging work this year near East Fawcett Lake. The Municipal District is holding a Public Open House discussion with representatives from Vanderwell, to ask for input that could help mitigate how this work will affect the nearby communities. Vanderwell has graciously agreed to work with the public when possible, to try to address these concerns. The meeting will be held in the Store Community Building at Fawcett Lake Resort on Friday, June 13 at 10.00am. The Annual Campers Meeting is where we can meet new people at the lake, hear about current issues, and participate in the planning of events for the season.  In addition to learning about the status of outstanding projects, it is a chance to make your own presentation or to just bring up issues to be discussed.  If you would like to schedule an opportunity to talk or if you have a topic that you would like added to the agenda for the meeting, contact the Campers Club.
